The short answer

To merge audio files on Android with MemoJoin, choose recordings through the system file picker or share them from another app, confirm the imports, arrange and trim the working copies, choose the pause between clips, and listen at every join. MemoJoin then exports one validated M4A locally.

Merge the audio files step by step

  1. Choose audio with the system file picker

    Open MemoJoin, start a New Merge, and select the recordings through Android’s system file picker. You can also select audio in a compatible app and use Share to send it to MemoJoin.

  2. Confirm the imported recordings

    Review the shared or selected items before adding them to the Current Merge. Unsupported or unreadable files are reported individually without changing the source files.

  3. Arrange and trim the clips

    Drag the clips into the order you want. Preview a clip and trim unwanted audio from its beginning or end. Trimming changes only MemoJoin’s working copy.

  4. Choose the pause between clips

    Set no gap, 0.5 seconds, or 1 second. Use the same gap between clips when you want a predictable pause in the finished recording.

  5. Audit every join

    Listen where each pair of recordings meets. If the transition repeats a word, contains excess silence, or cuts off speech, adjust the trim before exporting.

  6. Export and validate one M4A

    Export after every join is checked. MemoJoin renders and validates the file locally, keeps it in read-only Completed Merges, and lets you save with the system picker or use the Android Sharesheet.
